Peter currently serves as the program Chair for the Department of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Briarcliffe College on Long Island, NY. He has also served as a member of the adjunct faculty of the college, teaching a variety of courses including psychology.
Prior to teaching at Briarcliffe Peter worked as a teaching assistant at New York University, teaching Introduction to Psychology.
Peter received his BA and MA from New York University in the department of Psychology, having completed an internship at Bellevue Hospital. He worked with Dr. Anne S. Hardesty on behavioral assessment of autistic children.
Peter also received his A.B.A approved Paralegal Certificate from Nassau Community College. He brings an extensive background in management working as a Sr. Paralegal Manager for a number of area law firms.
Recently, Peter received his Advanced Certificate in Homeland Security Management from LIU-Riverhead campus.
Peter is a Notary Public and holds a NY State Security Guard license. He currently works part-time for a local security company, doing perimeter security and access control.
Peter is a member of the American Psychological Association, as well as IAEM and ASIS International.
He is completing CERT training with the Nassau County Department of Emergency Management and is also getting certified as an Executive Protection Specialist.
Peter has a number of publications to his credit and continues to submit articles for publication to a variety of trade publications.
Peter has been training in the martial arts for over twenty years and holds black belts in several Japanese and Korean styles. In his spare time Peter enjoys training students in Kickboxing and MMA, for both leisure and amateur competition.
